Vanguard EZCT current transformer test set now has added a design series that automatically raises and lowers the excitation test voltage. No operator intervention is required! This series is the EZCT Series 2. Life gets easier. Call for a demo. 

The new Vanguard EZCT-2000 has another innovation. All the test leads can be connected to the CT output terminals ( X1, X2, X3, X4, X5). There is no lead switching required! Life gets easier!  

The LTCA-10 is a second generation load tap changer analyzer. It measures winding resistance of highly inductive transformers. A special feature is ability to graph the resistance trace of a transformer LTC during operation! Find out what contacts are starting to build high resistance. 

Vanguard has added vacuum bottle testers too their line-up of test equipment. They have the vVBT-60 and VBT-80 for up to 60kV and 80 kV respectively in 5000V steps. Do you know if your vacuum bottle is really a vacuum bottle? 

CG Power Systems (formerly Pauwels Transformers Inc.)

 Name change! In a recent press release, parent company Crompton Greaves Ltd. announced a name change to the Pauwels Transformer organization.  The new name, CG Power Systems, is being instituted to coalesce a global identity.  The distribution transformer operation and small/medium transformer operation (new plant with capabilities through 30MVA base rating American made) in Washington, Missouri have now become CG Power Systems USA Inc.  The large power transformer operation in Winnipeg, Canada has now become CG Power Systems Canada Inc.  All future correspondence including quotations, terms & conditions, marketing, order acknowledgements, drawings, and product nameplates will now be in the CG Power Systems name.  We look forward to CG Power Systems increasing global presence and resources to aid our sales efforts in the southern California Market.  For inquiries regarding 3 phase liquid filled transformers ranging from 75KVA pad mounts to 700MVA/525KV power transformers, please do not hesitate to contact us.

G&W Electric is now offering our Voltage Sensing Bushings (VSB) for distribution systems up to 38KV.  G&W's VSB system is designed to work on any G&W SF6 gas or Trident solid dielectric switch, and is suitable for direct connection to any relay, IED or RTU. 

The fully integrated Voltage Sensing bushings are ideal for applications requiring sensing the presence (or loss) of voltage, providing both digital and analog outputs.   Voltage Sensing Bushings also offer some nice advantages for distribution automation or auto-transfer applications over traditional elbow mounted digital sensors (such as reliability, accuracy, G&W installed and tested) or PT's (such as lower cost, less space, digital output).
